How to Become a Data Scientist in India: A Practical 2026 Roadmap
Data Science hiring in India keeps growing, but the path into the field is less standardized than for, say, full stack development. Here is a realistic roadmap based on what actually gets candidates hired.
Step 1: Python and SQL fundamentals
Before statistics or machine learning, you need to be fluent in Python data handling (pandas, NumPy) and SQL. Skipping this step is the most common reason learners struggle later — model-building concepts are much easier once data manipulation is second nature.
Step 2: Statistics that you can explain, not just recite
Interviewers care far more about whether you can explain why you chose a particular test or metric than whether you can define it. Our Data Science course builds statistics around real business questions rather than as an abstract module.
Step 3: Applied machine learning on real datasets
